买汤圆。。。 买汤圆。。。 小二的汤圆是圆又圆。。。

一碗充满爱心及温暖的 Jusco pre-packed 汤圆 。

Knowing that a few of us who are not Malacca locals, can't celebrate winter solstice and eat 'tang yuan' with family, you bought, cooked and brought some for us! It's so thoughtful of you!

Happy winter solstice to all!

Christmas season at malls

A night out with my uni junior buddy @ One U.

We dined at Nando's and walked around as she said that she haven't been to One U since her first year!! Being her nice senior buddy, of cuz offerred to bring her there. She accompanied me to buy my FIRST ff bear, hehe~

Outing @ Sunway Pyramid with crazy sis and bro (and a naughty little fella!)

He can make you laugh and get irritated at the same time!

A extremely tiring Saturday for me as after the Pyramid outing, I drove back to Malacca to prepare to work for night shift that day. Stayed up whole night, only got to sleep at 10 something the next morning. @.@

Car decors

Nowadays, many people put those solar-powered swinging head miniature in their cars. I wanted to but my mum prohibited me from decorating my car with stuffs that would make it looked so girlish~

After listening to her advice for sometime, now I changed my mind. It's time for a little decoration! =p

Lovely 'spring-powered' swinging head Minnie miniature on the front dashboard.
(Wondering how's her partner, Mickey now...)

The pair of 龟仔和龟女 at the back of the car, looking out from the rear screen.

(This one is not a decor actually)
My windscreen sun shield : Mickey and Friends!

Forever friends bear
(My FIRST ever ff bear)

just bought~ hehe

It will be my companion during the lonely journey Mlc-KL-Mlc!
The bear itself also have a companion, ^_^

Guess that's enough for a car??

After so long.... finally movie for me!

Today went to Ipoh with some hometown friends, with the intention to watch 2012 (I have compnanions! who are same outdated with me, hoho~). At the cinema there, it was like watching movie was free cuz almost all the movies we wanted to watch were sold out for almost shows for the day! In the end, we bought tickets to watch 'A Christmas Carol'.

Got seats at the last row. Excited cuz I havent hit the cinema for so long! HOWEVER... the screen that I watched for the whole movie show was like this.....

A tall 'Singh' was sitting in front of me.
His head covered half of the height of the screen (when he's not sitting straightly).

When he sat straightly.....

~ sweat ~

I had to strained my neck, moved to the left and right, trying to watch the movie for that 1 hour and 40 minutes.

My long-awaited movie outing was spoiled!

A frog and a snake

This is not a fairy tale story.

It's about what I saw in my house kitchen yesterday.

I was back at home ~8pm yesterday, went to bathroom to wash my legs, flicked on the light and I saw...

What I saw when the light was fully on gave me a full strength dose of adrenaline!!!

For illustration purpose only. Not according to the actual scale.

But the scenario was true!
It was a baby snake and the frog was a normal size small frog.

Ending of the story???

The frog jumped out from the kitchen (through the gap at the bottom of the back door).

I stood guarding the snake while waiting for my housemate to back. In the end, the snake took the opportunity to glide out from the kitchen through the door gap also as my housemate was doubting to kill it or not.

*** fingers crossed ***

Weekend breakaway

I managed to have a breakaway to KL last week!

Although the time was short, I met up with a lovely friend, had a sumptuous meal with my sis and satisfied my craving for one of my favourite hobbies! (The rest of the weekend I was occupied with preparing research proposal presentation slides... T.T)

This pic was 'snatched' from her site =p

She insisted to pay for our breakfast and gave me so many gifts plus take-away desserts before back! *paiseh... 'yao sik yao ling'... wahaha~*

Gift No.1: Tea bags from China
(Those Lipton special flavor tea bags, we can't find in M'sia!)

Gift No.2: Advanced christmas gift - Hello Kitty coin bank

Gift No.3: Birthday bear keychain. (I attached to my VyVy keys together with my Minnie, ^_^)

Gift No.4: Yummy-licious cempedak desserts and tiramisu!!

At night, I followed my sis to her workplace (She needed to close the shop for her boss.) Till now, I still forget what's the name of the shop she works at, ahahaha~ but it's opposite Sushi ZanMai in One Utama. And there I waited from 7 something to 9 something! uh~~~~
Of course during the wait, I explored around the shop, looking at the crafts... then hehehe~ I asked my sis to take some cardboards back so I could make one myself without paying for it!

For your information, 1 hour craft session costs RM45!! Only rich people will bring their kids there!

After closing the shop, we had at our late dinner at Chili's (since it was just a few shops away =p). It was already 9 something (or 10) but there were still MANY PEOPLE in the waiting list!

This was how she looked during the long wait.

The food came.

Happily eating away.

The left over untouched beef bacon.

Such a heavy late dinner we had! I bet the calories I gained have exceeded my next 2 weeks quota!

Back to the craft story. From the cardboard pieces, my sis helped me to assemble into the desired shape.

I was going to make a fruit cake!!!

After coloring, glue-ing, and decorating.

Now I can put things into my cake, hohoho~

Train Track & Children (Analysis)

Got your answer in hand?

Most people might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice only one child. To save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally.

But, have you ever thought that the child choosing to play on the disused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place?

Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where the danger was.

This kind of dilemma happens around us everyday. In the office, community, in politics and especially in a democratic society, the minority is often sacrificed for the interest of the majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how farsighted and knowledgeable the minority are.

The child who chose not to play with the rest on the operational track was sidelined. And in the case he was sacrificed, no one would shed a tear for him.

To make the proper decision is not try to change the course of the train because the kids playing on the operational track should have known very well that track was still in use, and that they should have run away if they heard the train's sirens.

If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he never thought the train could come over to that track! Moreover, that track was not in use probably because it was not safe.

If the train was diverted to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake! And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few kids.

While we are all aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to be made, we may not realize that hasty decisions may not always be the right one.

"What's right isn't always popular... and what's popular isn't always right."

Everybody makes mistakes; that's why they put erasers on pencils.

A nice one eh? =)

A story on Decision Making

Today my CPS (Clinical Pharmacokinetic Service) a.k.a TDM (Therapeutic Drug Monitoring) preceptor was checking her emails and then she shared a story with me. A nice one.

So, I thought of sharing it out too. *wink*

This story is about Decision Making - Train Track and Children (perhaps some of you have heard of it). It's inspiring and gives us an insight in decision making.

Here it goes.

I drew it via Paint =p

A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other disused. Only one child played on the disused track, the rest on the operational track.

The train came, and you were just beside the track interchange. You could make the train change its course to the disused track and saved most of the kids.

However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed. Or would you rather let the train go its way?

Let's take a pause to think what kind of decision we could make...

Analyse the situation...

Think and reflect...

Decided your answer!!!!...

Now ... go ahead...

Analysis will be on the next post!

Value pharmacists, not sideline them

Here is what I found in TheStar on 15th Nov.

Quoted a paragraph from the letter:

"The removal would effectively equate the contribution and value of pharmacists with other non-healthcare professionals. We need to understand that pharmacists are well-trained and dedicated healthcare professionals. It is unwise to treat them as graduates from other science-related fields."

Related stories, another letter from someone concerned (KL) sent on 13th Nov.
Allowance reduction unfair to pharmacists

Pity VyVy, Pity Me

VyVy oh VyVy!!!

My dear pathetic VyVy!

Who did it to you???

Friday the 13th! Ady exhausted from the A&E on-call, thought could go home and have a good sleep but... when I went to collect my car...

Fresh scratches!

I was so upset that I didn't have my sleep after staying up for whole night working once I reached home. Instead, I gave my poor, pathetic VyVy who got comot-comot (cuz I didn't have time to give her a bath for 2 weeks ady) a good bath!

The left over permanent damage after 'bath'.

We plan but God decides. Just as I was finishing the bathing work, the sky rained...

The person who did it! This is what you get!!!!!

H.O. Stealer!

The H.O. who borrowed my Trade Name/Generic Name Drug Handbook on 8th Nov and promised me to returned it the next day!

I was being kind to lend it to you since you said you needed it urgently for your exam and you couldn't get it at the Drug Info Service as it was a SUNDAY. You promised to return it to me and you know where I am stationed at but you broke your promise. I've been waiting for a week!

Fine! I considered myself losing it!

(Fortunately I've got myself a new copy ^_^)

Poor little ASUS

My little ASUS was sent for resuscitation last week and fortunately she was discharged with no major complications except for a bit of 'follow up' of side effects eradication. Now she can function almost normally ('almost' cuz she's still a bit slow due to her age =p).

One admission for resuscitation cost me..... T.T

Discharge medications:

1. Avira instead of Kapersky
(cuz Kapersky's a bit 'heavy' for elderly like little ASUS, haih)

2. Keyboard protector

3. Long-needed cooling pad
(convenient, stylist, transformable =p)

My birthday celebration

Dinner at Windmill@ Melaka Raya

Itallian cheese birthday cake shared with SeongHeng (a Kamparian too, a pharmacist in Malacca too, and his birthday's just a d later than me!)

Chubby face with no neck!! OMG!!!

Post-dinner: 2nd round at Wing's musicafe

My sour plum ice & her Heineken ^_^
